Things to know when preparing your Quilt for Quilting. 

Quilt Top

• Please no heirloom, antique, cherished quilts or T-shirt quilts.  Also no embroidery, applique or embellishments.
• Max width of quilt top max 116”
• Must be well pressed, squared and must lay flat
• Please do not sandwich your quilt top - fold quilt top separately
• All threads should be trimmed
• If the quilt top is directional, the top should be clearly marked
  

Backing

• Must be 8” wider and longer than the quilt top. 
• With pieced backing, horizontal seams are preferred.
• Must be well pressed, squared and must lay flat
• Please do not sandwich your quilt top - fold your backing separately
• If the quilt back is directional, the top should be clearly marked

Batting 

• Please purchase your batting from Dee’s We’re Sew Creative.
• Prepackaged or by the yard batting is available 
• Batting should be 8” wider and longer than the quilt top. 
• Please do not sandwich your quilt top – fold your batting separately

Other

• Machine quilting is not a ‘fix’ for piecing issues.  Please understand that machine quilting will not “fix” fullness, puckering, piecing or pressing issues, inadequate seam allowance, improperly measured borders, or the squareness of the quilt.  Imperfections in the quilt may require tucks/creases to occur when quilting which is beyond our control
• Batting/Thread/Backing must be prepaid at time of drop off
• Quilting and other related charges paid at time of pickup
• Quilt must be picked up within 30 days of completion
• Quilts will be completed in the order they were received.  Typically ready within 10 days of drop off but that is an estimate only
• Please do not sandwich your quilt:  fold each piece separately
