Scallop Edge Your Quilt

Learn to add lovely, scalloped edges to a quilt and learn to make bias binding for those pretty curves. In this class, you will need to bring a finished and quilted quilt that is ready for binding, bring any size quilt (from 36 by 36 and larger) With a coordinating print, you will learn to make a bias binding. If time permits, we will attach your binding and I will teach you a hand sewing binding stitch if you need assistance with that. So, bring a finished quilt, and your supplies and we will see you in class!
Note about size of quilt you are bringing to scallop…. Elenore Burns has a chart on the ruler instruction sheet, that can be found in your purchased ruler. If the length, minus 4 inches, falls into the measurements on the chart, it is really easy to mark the scallops. However, we just have to do a bit more math and finagling to do other sizes.
Supplies:
1 completed and quilted quilt, 36 by 36 is minimum size…. any size bigger than that is great too! |
