Pre-work for class (please read all instructions before starting and
email me if you have any questions):

You will be using 2 Fat Quarters and foam stabilizer. My favorite foam
stabilizer is Bosal (I get it from Amazon), but you can also buy Pellon
Flex Foam (I get Pellon Flex Foam at Joann’s. You can sometimes find it
at Walmart). You want to get the foam stabilizer that is fusible on both sides.

Bosal-493-36-R-Form-Fusible-Stabilizer
Or
Pellon Flex Foam 2 sided Fusible

If you can only find Foam stabilizer that is fusible on one side you can
iron one fabric on and pin the fabric onto the other size. You will be
quilting with the pinned side up. You can use a walking foot, but a
regular foot. Use the foot that has a quilting guide.
Quilt fabric. Use straight lines at either a 45 degree or 60-degree angle
(45-degree angle will make squares and 60 degree angle will make
diamonds). Quilt one direction at a time spacing quilted lines 1 inch
apart. When finished with one direction quilt lines the opposite
direction to make the square or diamond design.
Use the 45-degree or 60-degree line on your ruler. Line up the line on
your ruler with the bottom of your fabric and mark a line across your
fabric. Sew on this line. If you have a quilt guide space it 1 inch from
your needle and sew using the quilt guide on the line you just made. If
you do not have a quilt guide mark each line 1 inch apart. Use the
same technique to mark the 45-degree or 60-degree lines in the
opposite direction to complete your design.
