EPP Diamond Dust Pillow

This project combines the timeless technique of English Paper Piecing (EPP) with the stunning, sparkling look of the Diamond Dust pattern. Over the course of the class, you will learn how to hand-piece geometric diamonds and create a beautiful pillow that adds a touch of elegance to any space.

*This class is for a confident beginner in English Paper Piecing. Previous experience is preferred but not required.*

**English Paper Piecing is done by hand so you will not need a sewing machine for the first class, only for your finishing work that will be done at the second class.**

Supplies:

~Fabrics of your choice~

*6 different color ways for the diamonds. I used solids for the main color and then accented on the edge triangles with coordinating colors with fabrics that have pattern -

*Linking fabrics to go in between and link/accent the colors. Fat quarters or charm packs are a good idea for the accent and linking colors

a color on color or solid for background pieces (I would recommend white or black)

2/3 yard to back your pillow.

Hand sewing needles (I like Straw Milliners but use what you are comfortable with)

Coordinating thread (use the weight you are most comfortable with for hand sewing. I prefer 60-100 wt)

Add 3/8” or 1/2” ruler

One plastic template sheet

Marking pen or pencil

Glue pen

Scissors

Diamond Dust Pillow Pieces pack (Order at least 2 weeks in advance)

Polyfill

Optional supplies that are nice to have:

~Needle threader

~Wonder clips or SewTites

~Thread Magic, Beeswax or other thread conditioner

~Thimble
